Bridget discovered her love for horses at an early age. Growing up, she spent a great deal of time at the barn, learning the ins and outs of the daily care of horses, as well as training and competing in different English disciplines, including Hunt Seat, Saddle Seat, Hunter, Jumper, and Dressage. Since then, she has traded in her English saddle for Western, and currently competes with the Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association aboard her beloved horse Kip, a 26 year old Paint.
Over the years, Bridget's love for horses turned into her passion and she has dedicated not only her personal life to horses, but also her professional life. In 2012, she began working as a Veterinary Assistant. She graduated with her degree in Veterinary Technology and became a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2018. Over the years she has worked for both small animal and equine veterinary practices, including Weatherford Equine Medical Center in Texas and Brandon Equine Medical Center in Florida. During her time in the veterinary field, Bridget learned she had a special interest in sports medicine and rehabilitation. This led her to become certified in Equine Massage Therapy and start Total Equine Massage. She received her first certification through the Animal Rehab Institute in 2022 and continued her education with a second certification through Therasage EMC in 2023. Bridget believes in the importance of continuing education and has exciting plans for the future to continue to grow Total Equine Massage and offer additional therapies and services to her clients.
