Massage Therapy Session - $90.00

Please ensure your horse is clean and dry in preparation for their massage. If your horse is unable to be safely tied, we ask that someone is available to hold them during their massage. We require you to be present for your horse's first massage. You are welcome to be present for subsequent massages, although it is not mandatory. 

During your horse's first massage, we will obtain a complete history and discuss the goals of therapy. An initial assessment is performed at the start of every session to identify areas of tension and spasm that may need specific attention during the massage. We use a combination of stress point therapy, trigger point therapy, and swedish massage strokes over the entire body with focus on the areas needing specific attention. Stretching exercises may be performed at the end of the session to compliment massage and improve flexibility and range of motion. Please expect the first session to take up to 90 minutes long. All subsequent sessions typically are 60-70 minutes.

At the end of the session, we may encourage hand walking for 10 minutes or turn out. Depending on the type of massage, exercise restriction may be recommended and will be discussed at this time. Please provide your horse with full access to fresh water after massage.

Following your horse's session, we will send you a comprehensive report detailing the areas of tension and spasm found during the massage, as well as any continued therapies that were discussed.
